11 surprising risk factors!

Don't ignore these!

    1. AGE – Most patients experience the pain as they age. It is more common as you get older, starting around age 30 or 40. Osteoporosis can develop, leading to fractures. Additionally, spinal stenosis increases with age due to lost cushioning and reduced muscle elasticity in the vertebrae.

    1. FITNESS  – Out-of-shape people are more likely to develop the pain. Weak abdominal muscles create lack of support for the spine

    1. PREGNANCY  – Pelvic changes caused by increased pregnancy weight gain can cause lower back injuries. This does not always resolve after childbirth.

    1. EXCESS BODY WEIGHT – Excess weight can cause back aches and pains. Excess body weight puts extra stress on your back.

    1. GENES – Inherited conditions can cause lower back pain. Ankylosing spondylitis, a genetic form of arthritis, can cause lower back pain as spinal joints fuse together.

    1. Job-related risks – Lifting and pushing heavy objects can cause injuries. Sedentary desk jobs can trigger pain due to poor posture or back support.

    1. Mental illness – Anxiety and depression can alter how a person perceives pain. Chronic pain can also lead to the development of psychological issues that affect the body in several ways.

    1. Backpack overload – Heavy backpacks can strain younger children’s back muscles. Backpacks shouldn’t weigh more than 20 percent of the child’s body weight.

    1. Smoking – Smokers have increased rates of back pain. This may occur because smoking prompts more coughing, which can lead to herniated disks. Smoking can also decrease blood flow to the spine and increase the risk of osteoporosis.

    1. Improper lifting – Using your back instead of your legs can lead to back pain.

  1. LAck of EXercise – Weak, unused muscles in your back and abdomen might lead to this condition.
